SFTP automation connector for Trados

Automation connectors are integrations between Trados and a third-party content provider which are meant to automate the creation of cloud projects each time the content is updated or changed in the third-party content provider.

If you set up an automation connector, you need to configure the connector in Trados only once. Then, each time new files are added or changes are made to the content stored in your third-party content provider, a cloud project is automatically created, the content is translated, and automatically integrated back.

The SFTP automation connector is a solution that can automate your project creation in cases where you constantly update or add new content. Each time you update or add content, the SFTP automation connector creates translation projects automatically and ensures that the localized content is transferred back to your SFTP without your intervention.

The SFTP automation connector accepts *.ZIP archives which contain any file format defined in your cloud project template or files that are also defined in your cloud project template.

While Trados supports the creation of project templates and projects which have the same source and target language, we strongly recommend that you do not submit such projects via connectors. Your content tool or your CMS application may not support the retrieval of files which have the same source and target language.
