Oracle Eloqua prerequisites for Managed Translation

You need to know your Oracle Eloqua credentials before using the Eloqua connector.

About this task

You need to know your Oracle Eloqua client ID and client secret, and accept the Oracle Eloqua terms and conditions for allowing external access to the Oracle Eloqua folder repository. These details will be requested by the app during the authentication process.

Also, make sure you verify if access to the instance needs to be established from authorized domains or IPs. The machines on which Trados Enterprise is deployed have dynamic IPs (or a range of IPs); this might pose a problem when customers use the connector to pick or push content.

Create an application to get your Oracle Eloqua client ID and client secret.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Oracle Eloqua (https://login.eloqua.com/).
  2. Register as an App Provider in order to create an App:
    1. Select Settings, and then AppCloud Developer.
    2. On the Welcome page, enter your company information:
      • Name - Enter your provider name.
      • (Optional) Website URL - Enter your company website.
      • Support Email Address - Enter the email address users should use to contact you in case there are issues with the app.
      • Support Phone Number - Enter the phone number users should use to contact you in case there are issues with the app.
    3. Select Create Provider.
    4. Select Save.
  3. After creating the provider you can create Apps. Select Create App, and then:
    1. Enter values for the following fields: Name (limited to 100 characters), Description (limited to 4000 characters), Icon.
    2. Enter a value for Enable URL - The URL called when the App is first installed or when it is reconfigured. This is a templated URL which should include, at a minimum, the InstallId, AppId, and CallbackUrl parameters. Without the callback URL, you cannot complete the installation flow if your app requires configuring (for example, to use OAuth).
    3. Enter a value for Status URL - The URL called when a user checks the App's connection.
    4. Enter a value for Uninstall URL - The URL called when a user uninstalls the app. This allows Oracle Eloqua to notify the app provider when someone uninstalls their app from the appcloud catalog. This URL supports templated parameters such as: InstallId, AppId, etc.
    5. Enter a value for OAuth Callback URL - The URL that users should be redirected to after installing the app and authenticating with Oracle Eloqua. To use OAuth, you need the following information which is displayed after you select Save: namely Client ID (app ID) and Client Secret (secret access token).
    6. Select Save to finish configuring the app, or select Add Services to start registering services.

What to do next

For enabling the service you need to provide RWS with:
  • Client Id
  • Client Secret
