Additional help
This section offers information on some of the advanced features you can perform in Experience Manager.
- Viewing content in device preview mode
You can preview a Component or Page as it appears in a device. In addition, you can edit content with this preview context. - Using Siteimprove features in Experience Manager
If your Tridion Sites implementation includes the Siteimprove extension, you will have access to additional functionality while working in Experience Manager. The extension provides actionable insights into website performance, including visibility into detected errors, user behavior, website accessibility, and SEO. - Advanced saving and undoing options
You can save and undo only changes to the contents of individual Components, or only changes to the layout or appearance of the page. - Resolving invalid Components
If a Component contains invalid content, the invalid field are highlighted. Provide a correct value and try to save again. - Resolving a lock
For a variety of reasons, the item you are trying to edit may show you a lock icon in its border. If this happens, you can find out why you are unable to edit the item, and how you may be able to make it editable. - Keyboard shortcuts for Experience Manager
Experience Manager has a number of keyboard shortcuts to improve your working speed. - Configuring personal preferences
Use the Info Bar at top right to configure your personal preferences: user interface language and regional settings (locale). - Disabling the context menu
By default, if you right-click while editing a webpage, the context menu for a Component or for the Page opens. However, this makes the context menu of the browser itself unavailable to you. If you want, you can disable the Tridion Sites context menu in order to access the browser's context menu. - Setting up your browser for Experience Manager
You may need to adjust certain browser features to ensure that Experience Manager works properly. - Configuring your browser to allow mixed content in Experience Manager
If Experience Manager is configured to be secure (HTTPS) but you are trying to edit non-secure content, such as an HTTP page, the browser may block the mixed content. The end user can allow the loading of secure content in this mixed-content scenario, but you can also configure the end user's browser to always allow mixed content. RWS does not recommend this because it compromises security for all secure sites with non-secure content.
