Workflow activity details (Classic UI)

You can view the details of an individual workflow activity while working from the Workflow Activities page or from the Things to Do list.

After selecting an activity from the list, you initially see basic activity details. Select Show more to see more information.

The following definitions describe some of the details that may not be self explanatory:

Approval Status
The approval status determines whether or not the item(s) associated with this item can be published to a specific Target Type.
Performer
If the activity is still in progress, the name of the user who is currently performing the activity. If the activity is completed, the user who most recently performed the activity.
Previous Activity Message
A message regarding the previous activity, typically intended as instructions to the current activity owner.

Related ItemsShows the list of items associated with the current activity. Typically, these are content items on which the activity requires some type of work, such as a content review.

Note the following:
  • If the primary item is a bundle, it will appear first in the list followed by all the items in the bundle.
  • Each related item can be opened directly from the list so that you can view the item and perform the requested task.

Click the Open button at the right of an item to make one of the following happen:

  • If the item is a Page that has been published to the website, Experience Manager opens that webpage in a new browser window.
  • If the item is a Component that has been published to the website, Experience Manager opens a webpage containing that Component in a new browser window.
  • If the item is not a Page or Component, or if the item is a Page or Component that has not yet been published to the website, Experience Manager opens the item in a form-based dialog.
