When you change the due date of a task, you can choose to notify the assignees about this change. By doing so, you can make sure that they prioritize their work properly and deliver it on time.
Procedure
- In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
- On the Projects page, do one of the following:
- On the WorldServer 11 interface, expand the project group that contains the appropriate project, and then select the target locale of the project.
- On the Classic interface, click the name of the project corresponding to the appropriate target locale.
The tasks of the project are displayed on the Tasks page.
Tip: On the WorldServer 11 interface, you can view all the tasks in a project group, regardless of their target locale, by clicking the name of the project group on the Projects page. On the Classic interface, you can view all the tasks in a project group, regardless of their target locale, by selecting the Tree view check box, and then expanding the appropriate project and each of its locales.
- On the Tasks page, select the check box corresponding to the task whose due date or expected duration you want to change.
- Do one of the following:
- On the WorldServer 11 interface, select
- On the Classic interface, select
- In the Change Task and Step Due Dates dialog box, select Set Expected Duration or Set Due Date, and then enter the expected duration of the tasks or task steps (in days or hours) or their due dates (by selecting the calendar icon).
Tip: You can set the expected duration or the due date for the task itself or for each task step.
- Choose whether or not you want assignees to receive automatic email notifications.
By default, assignees receive an automatic email notification after you change one or more due dates. If you do not want them to receive automatic email notifications, clear the Send email to assignees check box.
- Select OK.
