Changing the due date or the expected duration of tasks and task steps

When you change the due date of a task, you can choose to notify the assignees about this change. By doing so, you can make sure that they prioritize their work properly and deliver it on time.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
  2. On the Projects page, do one of the following:
    • On the WorldServer 11 interface, expand the project group that contains the appropriate project, and then select the target locale of the project.
    • On the Classic interface, click the name of the project corresponding to the appropriate target locale.

The tasks of the project are displayed on the Tasks page.

  3. On the Tasks page, select the check box corresponding to the task whose due date or expected duration you want to change.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • On the WorldServer 11 interface, select Task Options > Change Due Dates.
    • On the Classic interface, select More Options > Task Options > Change Due Dates.
  5. In the Change Task and Step Due Dates dialog box, select Set Expected Duration or Set Due Date, and then enter the expected duration of the tasks or task steps (in days or hours) or their due dates (by selecting the calendar icon).
  6. Choose whether or not you want assignees to receive automatic email notifications.
By default, assignees receive an automatic email notification after you change one or more due dates. If you do not want them to receive automatic email notifications, clear the Send email to assignees check box.
  7. Select OK.
