Creating MultiTerm Server connections

You need to connect to a MultiTerm server before you can use MultiTerm termbases. You can connect to multiple MultiTerm servers at the same time.

Before you begin

Before you start configuring WorldServer to use MultiTerm termbases, make sure that you have installed the appropriate MTIntegrationService for your version of MultiTerm Server. Then, write down the port and the user credentials that you used for this service.

You need the port and the user credentials to connect WorldServer to a MultiTerm server, so that you can work with MultiTerm termbases in WorldServer. Also, make sure that:
  • You have the correct URL of the MultiTerm server.
  • On the server side, you have added the sa MultiTerm account to all the MultiTerm termbases that you want WorldServer to access.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > MultiTerm Servers.
  2. Select Add.
  3. On the MultiTerm Server: New connection page, specify the following information:
    1. In the MultiTerm Server URL box, enter the address of the server that you want to connect to.
    2. In the Groupshare MultiTerm Server Port box, enter the port number of the server that you want to connect to.
      This number is usually, though not always, 80.
    3. In the MultiTerm Server Description box, enter any additional information that might help users identify this particular server.
  4. Select Save.

What to do next

You must now connect WorldServer to one or more MultiTerm servers.
