Logging in to WorldServer

WorldServer is a web application. To log in to WorldServer, you need to obtain the WorldServer address (or URL), your user name, and your password. You can usually obtain them from your WorldServer administrator.

Before you begin

Make sure you have a supported browser installed on your computer. WorldServer 11.8 supports the following browsers:
  • Microsoft Edge 108 or later
  • Mozilla Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) 102.6 or later
  • Safari 15.6.1 or later
  • Google Chrome 108 or later

About this task

By default, the WorldServer address has one of the following formats:
  • <protocol>://<server name>:<port>/ws/login (for the WorldServer 11 interface).
  • <protocol>://<server name>:<port>/ws-legacy/login (for the Classic interface).
  • <protocol>://<server name>:<port>/ws-legacy/transport/login (for WorldServer TransPort).
For example, http://mycompany1:8080/ws/login or http://mycompany1:8080/ws-legacy/transport/login. However, if your company is using a URL redirection mechanism, the address might be different.

Procedure

  1. Open a supported browser of your choice.
  2. In the address bar, enter the WorldServer address that your administrator gave you, and then select Enter.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If your company is using single sign-on, on the WorldServer login page, select Internal Sign In, and then enter your company user name and password.
    • If your company is not using single sign-on, on the WorldServer login page, enter your WorldServer user name and password, and then select Login.
