Oracle database
For storage of SDL Contenta data; the database server is the system on which the Oracle database software is installed.
When storing SDL Contenta data in an Oracle database note the following:
- Registry Settings: The registry settings are defined when you install the Oracle server in the system’s registry under: KEY_Ora_home_name
where Ora_home_name is the value for the ORACLE_HOME_NAME registry setting which is (user) defined when the Oracle server software is installed.
Example: - Service: Access the Services window and look for the services as shown in the example below.
For a description of the service, expand the Description column in the Services window.
Example: - Execution: If the service is not started:
- Login as the Administrator user.
- Access the Services window.
- Select the Oracle service to start.
- Click the Start button.
- Repeat the select and start for each service.
