By default, whitespace characters appear as blank spaces in your translation memory (TM) text. You can show or hide the display of whitespace character in the TM side-by-side editor window of the Translation Memories view. You can also display whitespace characters as symbols, if needed.
Procedure
- Select . The Options dialog box is displayed.
- Select Translation Memories View from the navigation tree. The Translation Memories View settings are displayed on the right.
- Select if you want to show to hide the whitespace characters:
- If you want to display whitespace characters as symbols, select the Show whitespace characters check box.
- If you want to stop displaying whitespace characters, clear the selection from the Show whitespace characters check box.
- Click OK to save the settings and close the Options dialog box.
Note: You can also toggle whitespace characters on/off by clicking
s button in the
Editor view
> Home tab
> Formatting group
> Show Whitespace Characters. Click
whitespace character to see a list of the whitespace symbols.
