Clearing the Internet cache

The upgrade to SDL Tridion 2011 SP1 means that Content Manager Explorer users who use Internet Explorer must clear their Internet cache before using the new Content Manager Explorer interface.

Depending on your Internet Explorer version, do one of the following:

Internet Explorer 7.0
To clear the cache, start Internet Explorer, select Tools at top right and Internet Options from the menu that opens. The Internet Options dialog opens, showing the General tab. In the Browsing History area, click Delete. The Delete Browsing History dialog opens. In this dialog, click the first button, Delete Files. When prompted to confirm, click Yes. Then click OK to close the Delete Browsing History dialog, and OK again to close the Internet Options dialog.
Internet Explorer 8.0
To clear the cache, select Safety at top right and Delete Browsing History from the menu that opens. In the Delete Browsing History dialog that opens, make sure that the item Temporary Internet Files is selected, then click Delete. The dialog closes itself.
Internet Explorer 9.0
To clear the cache, start Internet Explorer, select Tools at top right and Internet Options from the menu that opens. The Internet Options dialog opens, showing the General tab. In the Browsing History area, click Delete. The Delete Browsing History dialog opens. In this dialog, ensure that Temporary Internet Files is selected and click Delete to delete the files and close the dialog. Click OK again to close the Internet Options dialog.
