Deprecated functionality in Content Manager Explorer

The SDL Tridion 2011 release completely re-engineered Content Manager Explorer. This topic lists the changed behavior resulting from these changes.

Custom extensions
Custom extensions you developed for earlier versions of Content Manager Explorers will no longer work. Refer to the Content Manager implementation topics to learn about the new GUI extension mechanism.
Custom URLs for Schema fields
In earlier versions, you could specify URLs for the fields of a Schema. In an item dialog for an item based on this Schema, the field label would then turn into a clickable link pointing to the URL. These links will now no longer work. Refer to the Content Manager implementation topics for more information.
Custom Pages
Any Custom Pages you created will need to be recreated in the new GUI. Refer to the Content Manager implementation topics for more information
User preferences
Any user preferences, such as interface language, but also, for example, column widths in tables, will need to be reset by hand. Refer to the User Manual for details.
