What's new in Translation Manager 2.0 SP1
This section describes what's new and what has changed in Translation Manager 2.0 SP1.
- Translation Job required date
- When you create a Translation Job you can now specify the Required date to specify a due date for when the translation should be returned from SDL TMS. Note that if you do not specify a value, the default value on SDL TMS is used.
- Outscaling Translation Manager Service
- Translation Manager 2.0 SP1 supports the outscaling of the Translation Manager Service. Outscaling the Translation Manager Service ensures that when a Translation Manager Service fails while sending Translation Jobs or retrieving translated Content manager items, another Translation Manager Service can pick it up and continue processing the translation.
- Error states
-
The following error states have been introduced to handle errors encountered while processing Translation Jobs:
- Error sending—an error was encountered while processing the Translation Job for transferral to SDL TMS.
- Error retrieving—an error was encountered while returning a Translation Job to the Content Manager. In the Error retrieving state, Translation Manager continues to attempting to retrieve items previously failed every 24 hours.
These errors may be global errors to do with the Translation Job or SDL TMS Translation Job, or (validation) errors on individual Content Manager items. When an error occurs in the sending or receiving of a Translation Job, you can view details of the errors in the Translation Job Error tab. When you have fixed the errors you can Retry sending or Retry retrieving.
