Deleting Unused Resources

When you are ready to release a publication to your readers, you should check whether there are any resources in the publication that are not being used (for example, images that are not being referenced, topics that are not listed in the map, and so on). This will help you correct errors or remove from the Collaborative Review database any resources that are not being used.

About this task

This process deletes the resources only from the Collaborative Review database. It does not delete the resources from the associated content management system or source files.

Procedure

  1. If you are on a Collaborative Review page, select Home in the breadcrumb trail.
    The Collaborative Review landing page appears.
  2. In the Administration Tools pane, click Manage Publications.
    The Manage Publications page appears.
  3. In the left pane, navigate to a language version.
  4. Click Validate. The validation results for your review are displayed.
  5. In the Unused Resources section, click Delete Unused Resources.
  6. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete these resources.
