Troubleshooting publishing when using single sign-on (SSO)

In an SSO environment, if you find that you cannot publish from one or more servers, perform a number of troubleshooting steps to find out the source of your problem.

Certificates for Collaborative Review are not installed or relying parties are not set up properly

Check for the following error in your publish logs:
System.ServiceModel.FaultException: ID3082: The request scope is not valid or is unsupported.

Ensure that the certificates for Collaborative Review are installed, and that your relying parties are set up properly, on all of your servers from which publishing occurs (the main Content Manager server and all Batch servers).

issuer element is not configured correctly

Check for the following error in your publish logs:
System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.

Ensure that the issuer elements in LiveContentSSO.xml have been set up correctly or all of your servers from which publishing occurs (the main Content Manager server and all Batch servers).
