System administration
This section explains to system administrators and database administrators which tasks they can perform to manage the environment in which the SDL Tridion Sites implementation runs.
- SDL Tridion Sites security
SDL Tridion Sites supports a wide range of security frameworks to secure every part of its architecture. - Scaling SDL Tridion Sites
Both on the Content Manager side and on the Content Delivery side, you can scale out your system to improve performance and increase the load to the system. On both sides, you can perform an unattended installation of the software: on the Content Manager side, run the Content Manager installer from the command prompt in silent mode; on the Content Delivery side, you can install normally using PowerShell scripts. - Managing a DTAP environment
If you use SDL Tridion Sites in a real-life scenario, it usually makes sense to run multiple SDL Tridion Sites instances alongside each other, for development, testing, acceptance and production, abbreviated as DTAP. This section explains how you move content or code from one DTAP machine to another. - Performing basic health and info checks on Content Delivery microservices
You can do a basic health check, or obtain basic info, on any Content Delivery microservice by visiting a URL you construct. - Checking the health of Topology Manager
You can do quick check of the health of the Topology Manager software component, including the connectivity to its database, by accessing the anonymous endpoint http://SITE/ttmhealth/check (where SITE is the host name of the Topology Manager Web site). A200 OKresponse means that the software component is up and running. - Maintaining SDL Tridion Sites
A number of maintenance tasks help you to keep your SDL Tridion Sites installation running smoothly. - Uninstalling or modifying SDL Tridion Sites software components
As part of maintaining your SDL Tridion Sites environment, you may need to uninstall or modify SDL Tridion Sites software components. This section explains how.
