Adding a field group with a header or with a label

About this task

A Field Group with a Header is a group of fields that consist of General Fields and a header.

A Field Group with a Label is a group of fields that consist of General Fields and a label.

To create a field group with a header or a field group with label, do the following:

Procedure

  1. In WebForms Designer, drag and drop a Field Group with Header or a Field Group with Label from the Toolbar pane to the location in which you want the field to appear.
  2. In the Properties pane, enter a Unique ID and a Label for the field group. This will appear as a header on the form.
  3. If applicable, add a Relevance Condition to the field. Adding properties to a WebForm Page provides more information about this property.
  4. To add fields to the Field Group with Header:
    • Select the Default Fields option from the Toolbar pane. By default, the Field Group with Header and Field Group with Label can only contain Default Fields.
    • Drag-and-drop fields into the Field Group with Header
    • Add the relevant properties to each of the fields. For more information about field properties, refer to Toolbar_ menu bar_ and shortcut key options.
  5. To add Field Groups to the Field Group with Header:
    • Select the Field Groups option from the toolbar pane. By default, the Field Group with Header can contain any other type of Field Group: Field Group with a Header, Field Group with a Label, and Basic Fields with a Label.
    • Add fields to this sub Field Group and add properties to the fields
