WebForms Toolbox - Form fields

The Toolbox pane displays different Field Types that you can add to a form.

WebForms includes three main types of default Field Types:

  • Default fields that can be added directly to a form
  • Sample fields that application administrators can use as a basis for creating custom Field Types
  • Basic fields that can be used to add several fields to a single line within a group field

In addition to the default Field Types that are included with WebForms, your WebForms developers can create customized Field Types. These customized Field Types may include any fields or combination of fields that you use frequently on forms.

The Toolbox pane groups these fields, giving you easy access to the Field Types that you need to use.

You can add Default Fields and Sample Fields directly to a form or to some types of Field Groups. Often, a Default or Sample Field contains a label and a field. A Field Group combines more than one field into a grouping. Field Groups contain other Fields.
