Change Attributes

The Change Attributes dialog box differs between projects and tasks. For example, when you select a:
  • Project and click Change Attributes, previously defined project system attributes are listed in the dialog box, such as Due Date, Cost Model, Client, and Project Type. If the Client and Project Type attributes are already defined, they display in a read-only format and cannot be modified. To change project attributes, select a project and click Change Attributes on the Projects page.
  • Task and click Change Attributes, previously defined custom attributes are listed in the dialog box, such as Job ID. To change custom task attributes, select a task and select Change Attributes from More Options > Task Options on the Task List page.
Note the following:
  • For Due Date, enter the date and time in the format appropriate to your Regional Settings or use the date picker. When the due date passes, and the project is not complete, the due date is displayed as red text in the project list (if the view is configured to display it).
  • You can change the cost model for the project only to a cost model based on the same scoping configuration of the initial cost model. If the project was created without assigning a cost model, only cost models based on the default scoping configuration are available.
  • The modified attributes appear in the project or task list, if the view is configured to show them.
  • If you want to change particular attributes across multiple projects or tasks, leaving all others unchanged, select the projects or tasks you want to change attributes for, and click Change Attributes. With multiple projects or tasks selected, you are taken to a different dialog than the dialog for one project.
  • If the custom attribute values for all locales in a project are not identical, TransPort users will see Set per locale instead of the custom attribute name in the Project Listing page (and Projects page if view only). If the user opens the Edit Project page, only the custom attribute set for the first locale displays. Therefore, if you change a custom attribute for one locale in a project that includes multiple locales, be aware that TransPort users will not see the change in that locale.
