Translation Workbenches and Third-Party Tools

WorldServer supports several translation tools:
  • Browser-based
    • WorldServer Browser Workbench
    • SDL Online Editor
  • Desktop
    • SDL Trados Studio 2019 and earlier versions
    • Third-party tools
For WorldServer Browser Workbench, when you select a task and then In Browser Workbench from the Translate drop-down list, the Browser Workbench launches, with built-in access to your translation memories and terminology databases. You are ready to start translating. When you are done with your translation session, you simply save the file. See Using the WorldServer Browser Workbench.

For SDL Trados Studio 2014 and later, select the project you want and click Create Return Package. In the Create Return Package dialog box, select the files in the project that you want to export, click Next, and then, in the next wizard screen, select the return package location and click Finish. See SDL Trados Studio.

To translate assets using older versions of SDL Trados, you must use the WorldServer export and import facilities. See SDL Trados Workbench.
