Batch deleting TUs

You can delete translation units (TUs) using batch tasks to discard them automatically from your translation memory (TM).

Before you begin

If you want to delete a set of TUs (not the entire TM), the filter that will select the TUs must exist before you start the Batch Delete wizard.

About this task

Changes made by a batch edit are automatically committed and cannot be canceled.

Procedure

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Go to the Translation Memory view, and in the navigation tree, select the TM whose contents you want to export.
    • Go to the Translation Memory view. If the TM does not appear in the navigation tree, select File > Open > Open Translation Memory.
  2. Go to the Home tab and select Batch Delete.
  3. In the Batch Delete wizard, on the Batch Delete Filter page, select the filter that identifies the TUs to be deleted. If you want to delete all TUs in the TM, select <no filter>.
  4. Select Finish. Trados Studio starts deleting TUs and the Applying batch delete script page is displayed.
  5. On the Applying Batch Delete Script page, check the progress:
