When you create a Bundle Schema specify a Title and Description, the associated Workflow Process and dissolving behavior, and optionally metadata.
Before you begin
You must have Schema Management rights and Write permissions for the Folder in which you create the Schema to create a Schema.
You also need Workflow Management rights if you intend to associate this Bundle Schema with a Workflow Process by adding a Workflow Association.
Procedure
- Open Content Manager Explorer.
- Navigate to the Publication and Folder in which you want to create the Schema.
- Open the Ribbon toolbar Create tab and click New Schema.
The New Schema window opens.
- On the General tab, fill in the following fields:
- Name — the name of the Bundle Schema.
- Description — a description of this Schema.
- Schema Type — select Bundle Schema.
- In the Metadata Design tab, specify zero or more metadata fields for this kind of Bundle.
- In the Workflow tab:
-
Associated Bundle Process
-
Select this setting to associate the schema with a specific Workflow Process Definition. The association enables the schema to be used for workflow purposes.
-
Dissolve Bundles based on this Schema when their Workflow Process has finished
-
Select this setting to cause any Bundle based on the Schema to be dissolved (deleted automatically) when a workflow process involving the Bundle finishes.
-
In the case of embedded Bundles, this setting applies only to the Bundles based on this schema.
Note: For more information on Bundle workflow, refer to the section on implementing workflow.
- Click Save and Close to save your changes.
