Defining taxonomies in Taxonomy Space
This topic highlights some general best practices for defining external taxonomies in the Taxonomy Space user interface.
Do not reference concepts in a different concept scheme
Taxonomy Space allows you do define taxonomies so that, within one taxonomy's concept scheme, you can use concepts from an entirely different concept scheme. For example, in Concept Scheme A, you include through relationships several concepts that are actually part of Concept Scheme B. We recommend that you do not define your taxonomies/concept schemes in this way, but rather define each one as a wholly independent thing.
