To add and use multiple different configurations for the same file type in WorldServer, you need to create them in Trados Studio, export them, and them import them into WorldServer.
Before you begin
Make sure that the file type whose configuration you want to import exists both in WorldServer and in Trados Studio. Also, do not change the extension of the configuration file you export from Studio.
If you want to import a Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) configuration that uses a specific processor to handle embedded content, make sure you import the configuration of the processor before importing the file type configuration.
Note: In earlier versions of Trados Studio, default file type configurations were exported as empty files. Therefore, you could not import them into WorldServer. In such cases, a solution would be to make minor changes to default configurations in Trados Studio and export them as new configurations; then, the configuration files are no longer empty and you can import them into WorldServer.
Procedure
- In WorldServer, go to
- Select Import.
- In the Import Studio File Type Configuration dialog box, select Browse.
- Find and select the configuration that you want to import, and then select Open.
- In the Import Studio File Type Configuration dialog box, enter the name and the description that you want the configuration to have in WorldServer.
Note: If a configuration with the same ID already exists on your environment or if that particular file type already has a configuration with the same name, you have to choose whether to overwrite the existing configuration or to create a new configuration with a different name. Keep in mind that changes to existing file type configurations may affect leverage and costs.
- Select Import.
Results
The file type configuration is imported successfully and is displayed under its corresponding file type.
