Masking the contents of AIS mounts or folders

By using AIS masks, you can control what a user sees while working in WorldServer. An AIS mask is a named collection of specific WorldServer objects that an administrator associates with an AIS mount or folder. When users access and process assets in that folder (or in its subfolders), WorldServer displays only the object instances that you defined in the associated AIS mask.

You can configure AIS masks by going to Management > Asset Interface System > AIS Masks. These masks are applied to the assets or asset paths under Management > Asset Interface System > View and Change Properties and they restrict the users' ability to view specific objects for specific assets within the AIS. You can mask objects of the following types: AIS properties and workflows.

If no objects are selected in a mask, it is equivalent to not having a mask at all.
