Scoping mode settings

In Studio, the settings that handle scoping mode mechanisms are available in the user interface. In WorldServer, you configure these settings in the tm.properties file.

You can find the tm.properties file in the following folder: <tomcat-home>\webapps\ws-legacy\WEB-INF\classes\config, where <tomcat-home> is the location where Tomcat was installed.
  • If you deployed WorldServer through Tomcat, by default, the <tomcat-home> folder is C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 9.0.
  • If you installed WorldServer through the installer, by default, the <tomcat-home> folder is C:\Program Files\Idiom\WorldServer\tomcat.

To find the settings that apply to the Studio-aligned mode, search for entries that start with STUDIO_.

In the Studio-aligned mode, the default settings are the same as the ones in Trados Studio.

Auto-substitution settings

No replacement options are available for date and time or number auto-localization. All information required for auto-localization is taken from the document source segment.

For measurements, different options are available. They mostly control whether and which whitespace is inserted between the numeric value and the unit of an auto-localized measurement. The whitespace setting can be as in the document source segment, as in the TM target segment (if available), or a fixed setting.
