Uninstalling LiveContent Central services on a Windows system
Uninstall LiveContent Central services on a Windows system by running the uninstall executable.
Before you begin
Before you begin uninstalling LiveContent Central, make sure all necessary customizations, IETPs and IETP packages are backed up.
Procedure
- Log on to the server as a user with administrator privileges.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the LiveContent Central directory. For example, the directory located at [LCC_Home]/Uninstall_LiveContentCentral.
- Launch Uninstall_LiveContentCentral.exe.
- In the Uninstall LiveContent Central panel, select Next.
- During the uninstallation process, you may be presented with an option to restart the computer. A system restart is recommended at this point.
- When the uninstallation process completes, select Done
- Alternatively, the LiveContent Central services can be uninstalled from the Add or remove programs settings. To do so, locate LiveContent Central service on the list of programs and select Uninstall.
- It is possible that uninstalling the LiveContent Central application may not remove all the installed files. This may be due to permission issues to the folder or that the files may be in use. In such cases make sure to manually delete the following:
- Using a Registry Editor, delete the contents of the Windows registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\XyEnterprise\LiveContentCentral\ - Delete the following directories:
C:/ProgramData/lcc-pgsql-db-dataand[LCC_home]\pgsql-db. - Assuming you have backed up your IETPs, delete
C:/ProgramData/XyEnterprise/LiveContentCentral - Delete the [LCC_home] directory.
