Project Option fields and descriptions

When you create projects in Managed Translation, you can choose from a list of predefined project configurations, also known as project options. Project options are configured by your administrator and they control the fields which are available to you during project creation.

The most common project options you can use are: Fully Automated Machine Translation, Machine Translation & Post-Editing, Professional Translation and Professional Translation & Client Review. Project options and their fields are fully customizable by your system administrator.

Common fields

PO NumberUse this option to provide a payment reference for your project.
Cost Center/PO NumberUse this dropdown list to select a center such North America or Europe. Once you select a center, use the sub-picklist to choose a PO Number.
DepartmentUse this dropdown list to select the department which orders the project work.
DTP/Layout requiredUse this option to order supplementary file formatting.
Invoicing ContactUse this option to specify the invoicing responsible.
Priority FilesUse this option if you want some files to be translated or reviewed before others.
Are you uploading reference materialUse this option if you want to upload both files for translation and files for review.
All text in all images to be localizedUse this option to localize text embedded in images, diagrams or graphs.

Extra fields

Your project options can be enhanced with other configurations including TM Sequence.

TM SequenceChoose a TM Sequence from the list to:
  • Override RWS TMs and apply your own TMs.
  • Specify which TMs should be applied to the translation.
