Configuring permissions for AIS mounts

To configure permissions for AIS mounts, you need to know the location of the AIS mount of your WorldServer installation.

Before you begin

If you do not remember the location of the AIS mount of your WorldServer installation, do the following:
  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Asset Interface System > AIS Mounts.
  2. Select the AIS mount that you want to use with the FTS Server.
  3. Note the path of the folder under File System Connector Configuration.

About this task

Assign permissions to the same users for all WorldServer and FTS Server resources. Also, the FTS Server can use more than one AIS mount. If this is the case, configure permissions for each mount in your environment.

Procedure

  1. In Windows Explorer, go to the folder that serves as the AIS mount for both servers.
  2. Right-click the folder and select Properties.
  3. In the <folder name> Properties dialog box, select the Sharing tab, and then select Advanced sharing.
  4. Select the Share this folder check box, and then select Permissions.
  5. In the Permissions for <folder name> dialog box, select Add.
  6. In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, enter the user names both for WorldServer and for the FTS Server, and then select OK multiple times to return to the <folder name> Properties dialog box.
  7. In the <folder name> Properties dialog box, select the Security tab, and then select Edit > Add.
  8. In the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box, enter the user names both for WorldServer and for the FTS Server.
  9. Select OK multiple times to apply your changes.
