Importing entries into term databases

Import entries from .csv, .txt (delimited), .tbx, or MultiTerm 5 term databases into your WorldServer term databases and use them in your translation projects.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Tools > Term Databases.
  2. Select the term database into which you want to import entries.
  3. On the Term Database: <name> page, select Import TD.
  4. In the Import Entries into Term Database <name> dialog box, select the format of the file that you want to import.
  5. Depending on the file format you selected, specify the following:
    1. Next to Import file, select Browse, and then select the file that you want to import.
    2. In the Encoding list, select the encoding of the entries in the file you want to import.
    3. In the Term Delimiter list, select the character used to delimit terms in the file you want to import.
    4. In the Field Delimiter list, select the character used to delimit fields in the file you want to import.
    5. Next to Import Status, select whether you want the imported terms to have their own statuses or to receive a particular status.
  6. Select Next.
  7. On the following page (or pages), configure additional settings, depending on the file format you selected earlier.
  8. Select Import.
  9. In the Import Entries into Term Database <name> dialog box, select OK.
