The October-November 2024 release introduces the following features and enhancements.
  • A new option called the Phases view is now available on all the pages where you can interact with workflows. The Phases view is a horizontal representation of the list of tasks and phases. At the moment, you can toggle between the Phases view and the Vertical view. Note, however, that the Vertical view will be removed and replaced with the Phases view in the near future.
  • A new workflow task called Language Planning is now available to customers who can create custom workflow templates. Use this task to allow local project managers to plan tasks and assignments for each target language individually instead of doing it all at once through the Project Planning task. You can have multiple Language Planning tasks as part of the same workflow.
  • Terminology Verification settings are available in project templates and projects under Settings > Verification > Terminology Verifier. Terminology Verification settings work with both Trados Studio and Trados Online Editor. If the translation engine does not include any termbase, the Terminology Verification settings are disabled.
  • Starting with November 2024, projects which have the Completed status have the same restrictions as projects which have the Archived status. If your project has the Completed status, you can put it back in the In Progress status to continue working on it.
  • Vendor project managers can sort and filter vendor orders by several criteria, from the Orders view. The criteria are: project, languages, task type, vendor order template, and status.
  • To access the errors messages of a given project, identify the project in the Projects list, and select the number displayed in the ERRORS column.
  • Project templates are ordered alphabetically in the Project Templates list.
  • When working with translation engines, you can reorder the MT providers. Press the hamburger menu of an MT provider, and then drag and drop it before or after another MT provider. You can also drag and drop several MT providers in one go, if you use CTRL and select the providers, or if you use SHIFT and select the first and last MT provider in a range.
  • The Length Verification setting can be configured globally or for specific target languages. You can access the Length Verification setting from the Settings section of project templates and projects, by expanding the Verification section and selecting QA Checker.
  • When you create or edit a custom field, you can specify where the custom field is displayed in the email notifications users receive. To include the custom field in the Details section of email notifications, instead of the Additional info section of email notifications, enable Include in Email notifications, and then select Priority.
  • The built-in reports can now be found in the Reports view when you click the Dashboards tab.
  • You can include or exclude locked content from the Analysis report by configuring the three options under Report locked segments in analysis.
  • The completion interval specified on a task, which is assigned to a vendor order template, propagates onto its vendor associated tasks: Vendor Quote Review and Vendor Quote Approval. The Vendor Quote Review and Vendor Quote Approval tasks are completed automatically with the Elapsed status and can be consulted in the Orders view by vendor project managers or in the Task History tab of a project by administrators, lead project managers, and project managers.
  • The Generative Subtitling feature enables you to translate video content end-to-end with Generative AI technology.
