By changing the status of a step, you can track the progress of each task step. You can only change the statuses of steps belonging to active tasks.
Before you begin
Configure the Step Status column to be visible in the table on the Tasks page.
About this task
Changing the status of a task step does not affect the task in any way. For example, changing the step status to Completed does not complete the step and does not put the task through the next step in the workflow; it simply indicates that you are ready to complete the step.
Procedure
- In WorldServer, go to the Projects page.
- On the Projects page, do one of the following:
- On the WorldServer 11 interface, expand the project group that contains the appropriate project, and then select the target locale of the project.
- On the Classic interface, click the name of the project corresponding to the appropriate target locale.
The tasks of the project are displayed on the Tasks page.
Tip: On the WorldServer 11 interface, you can view all the tasks in a project group, regardless of their target locale, by clicking the name of the project group on the Projects page. On the Classic interface, you can view all the tasks in a project group, regardless of their target locale, by selecting the Tree view check box, and then expanding the appropriate project and each of its locales.
- In the row corresponding to the task whose status you want to change, under Step Status, select the icon (on the Classic interface) or the name of the status (on the Classic interface).
- In the dialog box displayed, select a new status, and then select OK.
