When you add a project type, the processing settings that you need to configure usually imply selecting a workgroup, as well as one or more workflows, file types, and cost models.
Before you begin
Make sure that the users who might have the Submitter and the Client Manager workflow roles are part of the workgroup that you want to associate to this project type.
About this task
On the Processing tab, you can choose different values per target locale for workflows, file types, and cost models. For example, you might want to use a default cost model for all the target locales, except for German-Germany. To do so, select the Advanced options check box, and then select the target locale (German-Germany) and its corresponding cost model. Select set another each time you want to add another value for another target locale.
Procedure
- In the Workgroup list, select a group of users that you want to work on the projects created with this project type.
Note: In each human workflow step, you can assign users either individually or by workflow role. However, to be eligible, users must be part of this workgroup.
- Under Workflows, in the Choose default workflow for all locales list, select a workflow that you want to use by default for all locales.
Tip: Select
Select Workflow
to view the selected workflow.
- Under File Types, in the Choose default file type for all locales list, select a file type that you want to use by default for all locales.
This file type is used to process translatable assets in all projects created with this project type. If you accept the system defaults, WorldServer uses the MIME type associated with the file extension of each asset to find an appropriate file type. You can also select file type groups.
- Under Cost Models, in the Choose default cost model for all locales list, select a cost model that you want to use by default for all locales.
This cost model specifies the per-word translation cost for a certain vendor and for each target locale. For example, you can set prices for different types of translations based on the effort required to complete them.
