Creating new rules with segment identifiers for the Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type

The Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type is one of the file types in WorldServer that supports segment identifiers (SIDs). Starting with version 11.7, Silverlight file type configuration pages have been removed from WorldServer, which means that you need to create rules with SIDs in Trados Studio

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > File Types.
  2. Expand the Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type tree and select a configuration.
  3. Select the Parser tab, and then select Add.
  4. In the Add Rule dialog box, enter a name in the Element box, and then, in the Tag type list, select structure.
  5. Next to Structure info, select Edit.
  6. In the Structure Information Properties dialog box, add as many properties as necessary, and then select OK.
  7. When finished, in the Add Rule dialog box, select OK.
  8. Save the configuration.
  9. Re-open the configuration by selecting it in the Custom XML (Embedded Content Processor) File Type tree.
  10. Select the SID Matching tab, and then select the rule you created.
  11. In the SID attribute box, enter the name of the attribute from which the value of the SID should be retrieved, and then select Update.
  12. Save the configuration.
