Translating and reviewing in Browser Workbench
Browser Workbench is an online tool in which you can translate and review assets without leaving WorldServer. It presents content as a series of source and target language segment pairs.
- Opening assets in Browser Workbench
Use Browser Workbench to open assets that you want to translate or review online. You can open multiple assets and work on multiple tasks at the same time. - The Browser Workbench user interface
A screen shot of the Browser Workbench user interface, along with a detailed presentation of its main areas and features. - Searching for translation memory matches
If your translation memory contains matches for a certain segment, the Translation memory matches button is available and you can improve the quality of your translation by searching for matches. If your translation memory does not contain any matches for that segment, the button is unavailable and becomes No translation memory matches found. - Types of translation memory matches
In Browser Workbench, each segment is marked with a certain color, depending on its match type. - Working with segments and comments
An overview of the main tasks you can perform with segments and comments, as well as of the additional information you can find out while performing them. - Previewing assets
In WorldServer, you can preview the source and target versions of your assets while translating or reviewing, so that you can identify potential layout issues early on. - Working with the Segmented Asset Editor
When a task is part of a project that does not use linkage, you can edit it using the Segmented Asset Editor. If a project does not use linkage, it is generally because the project is set up so that you can track source file editing, not because it needs translation. - Working with the Freeform Editor
Use the Freeform Editor to edit a task without saving its contents to the translation memory. The Freeform Editor is well-suited to indirect translations where a segment-to-segment translation, like the one in Browser Workbench, is not ideal.
