Content Routing Project
A Content Routing Project is represented by a ContentRoutingProject object that contains data undergoing revision such as writing, editing, reviewing, and approval in the Contenta database.
A ContentRoutingProject:
- provides revision control—it allows you to isolate data undergoing revision from the last approved published data in your manuals.
- provides a way to update all your manuals after the revised data has been approved for publication.
- provides a fast and easy way for you to electronically move the data in the ContentRoutingProject to the next person who is assigned to work on it.
- allows a user to forward one or more objects in the ContentRoutingProject to another task and user.
- allows objects in a ContentRoutingProject to be assigned to different users and tasks based on the workflow.
- provides the name of the current owner and task for each object in a ContentRoutingProject.
- allows the Project Manager to track the progress of the work and determine if the work is meeting its deadlines.
- cannot be nested within a ContentRoutingProject or standard Project or sub-project.
