Contenta registry settings and configuration on the client

Use this procedures to access the registry settings and configuration for Contenta on the client workstation.

Procedure

  1. To access the registry editor on the Contenta client workstation select: Start and in the program run field enter: regedit
  2. In the resulting Registry Editor window open the following key.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > XyEnterprise > Content@ > 3.0

    The following describes the registry settings for both Oracle and MSSQL based systems.
    NameDescription
    ORACLE_HOMEOracle only: Location of the Oracle software, top level.
    SYSTYPEThe type of operating system; this value is used to determine if the system is Windows or UNIX (it is not used to determine the OS version).
    XYE_PDM_DATABASE_SIDOracle only: The Oracle service name; SID
    XYV_PDM_ENCAPS_DIRLocation of the Contenta encaps directory.
    XYV_DPDM_DBASEName of the default Contenta database (or Oracle user in the Oracle environment.)
    XYV_PDM_DBTYPEType of database: Oracle or MSSQL
    XYV_PDM_HELPLocation of the Contenta documentation and help files.
    XYV_PDM_INDEXTBLSPACEOracle only: The name of the index tablespace name in the database.
    XYV_PDM_LANGUAGELanguage used in Contenta Client.
    XYV_PDM_LOGFILEName and location of the log file; the log filename is the name of the Contenta database.
    XYV_PDM_ODBC_DSNMicrosoft ODBC DNS name for the database.
    XYV_PDM_PERL_BINDIRLocation of the Perl executables directory.
    XYV_PDM_PERL_DLLPATHLocation of the Perl DLL directory.
    XYV_PDM_ROOTTop level location of Contenta software.
    XYV_PDM_TBLSPACEOracle only: The name of the table space in the database.
    XYV_PDM_TMPTBLSPACEOracle only: The name of the temporary table space in the database.
    XYV_PERL_EXEPATHPath and filename to the Perl executable.
