Adding a Page in Experience Manager based on a DXA Page Type

The process for adding new Pages based on DXA predefined Page Types is essentially same. The differences are only with the structure imposed by predefined Regions, the number of Components in each Region, and the specific Schemas and Component Templates that are allowed.

About this task

When you create new Pages based on Page Types, DXA creates new Components containing dummy content that you can edit or replace.

Procedure

  1. Open the website in Tridion Sites Experience Manager.
  2. On the Home ribbon, click New Page.
  3. From the library pane, select one of the predefined Page Types, and click Create.
  4. Specify the following properties:
    • Page Title—Enter the internal name of the Page.
    • File Name—Enter the name of the Page as it appears in the browser address bar.
    • Page Location—Accept the default, or click Change and select the section of the website where you want the Page to appear.
