Manage Multiterm roles
A user's access rights within a particular termbase depend on the MultiTerm roles that the user belongs to, and the rights granted by those roles.
Each role can grant different access rights. To access termbase data, a user has to be a member of a MultiTerm role. Whenever you add a user to a termbase, they are automatically added to the predefined Public role.
There are two predefined roles in the MultiTerm system, Expert User and Public.
If a user is not in a role
Termbases are only visible to users who are members of a role in the termbase. If a user is not in a role, no termbases are available when logging in from a MultiTerm component.
Expert user role
An Expert User role is automatically created for a termbase when the termbase is created, and you cannot delete it. You can edit the role but this is not recommended.
The Expert User role has read, write and delete access to all entries in the termbase, and to all fields in the entries. The Expert User can also import and export termbase data.
The termbase creator is a default member of theExpert User role as well as the Super user. You can remove all users except super from this role
Public role
A Public Role is created in a termbase when the termbase is created, and you cannot delete it. You can edit the role, but this is not recommended.
The Public role has read access to all entries in the termbase, and to all fields in the entries.
When you add a user to a termbase, the user is automatically made a member of the Public role.
The guest user is always a member of the Public role. You can remove all users from this role except guest.
