If you have upgrade your Content Manager databases and Content Manager server, and if you are logged on to the client machine as an administrator user, uninstall your existing client, the install the new one. - Upgrading existing default Workflow Process Definitions
If you are upgrading from a release earlier than SDL Tridion 2011, you must update any existing Page Process and Component Process, two Workflow Process Definitions that SDL Tridion creates whenever you create a Publication, that are in use. This is because SDL Tridion 2011 changed these items. You do this by opening each of these Processes in the Workflow Designer plug-in for Microsoft Visio, selecting the Activity called "Approve for Publish" and making its Approval Status empty (currently set to the value 'Default_Live').
