Only if you have explicitly enabled this feature, which is deprecated as of SDL Tridion Sites 9, you can add a font to the system for use when formatting content in a Format Area field in a Component, or delete a system font to remove the font from the Content Manager.
Before you begin
You must have enabled font list functionality in order to add, edit, or delete a system font.
You can reinstate this feature by opening %TRIDION_HOME%\web\WebUI\Editors\CME\Configuration\CME.config for editing. Inside the <customconfiguration> section of this file, add the following element: <enablefontlist>true</enablefontlist>. After saving and closing the file, restart your Web site to reinstate the feature.
You must have system administrator privileges in order to add, edit, or delete a system font.
Procedure
- Open Content Manager Explorer.
- Select System Administration in the navigation pane.
- Open the Ribbon toolbar Administration tab and select .
The Font List window displaying a list of system fonts opens.
- To add a font, click Add. In the dialog that opens, type the name of a font using the correct capitalization and spacing. Then click OK to return to the dialog.
- To change the order of these fonts, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
- To edit an existing value, select a font and click the Edit button. In the dialog that opens, edit the value and click OK to return to the dialog.
- To remove a font, select it and click the Remove button.
- Click OK to close the Font List dialog.
Results
If you added or edited a system font, users creating Components can select the system font when entering information for XHTML fields. If you deleted a system font, this font can no longer be selected.
