Mobile delivery and mobile apps
You can use Templating and BluePrinting technology to localize transformations for a specific channel. This allows you to create multiple different representations of the same website content. Specifically, you can use patterns such as responsive design or grid representations to develop mobile pages that can adapt to a variety of devices.
The open architecture of SDL Tridion Sites also lets you combine more advanced device-rendering capabilities as part of the Content Delivery environment. For example, the Context Engine Cartridge makes it possible to obtain device-specific parameters by combining inbound requests with a device database lookup.
For mobile content authoring, the Device Preview feature provides content contributors with a mobile emulator that simulates the view and resolution a mobile visitor would see, and in which they can view and edit content.
Beyond mobile websites, the content repository can also be accessed by native mobile applications using the Content Service. This allows for greater use of content and reuse of brand assets, and eliminates the need for siloed content publishing and workflow processes.
