Add default WebForms building blocks to the Content Manager
Before you begin
To add default WebForms building blocks, you must have a version of Content Porter installed (as described in the Content Porter installation topics) that is compatible with the version of SDL Tridion you use.
If you have not obtained Content Porter or its license file, contact SDL Tridion Customer Support.
If you are using WebForms in combination with SDL Tridion 2013 or SDL Tridion 2013 SP1, you also need Hotfix 86950 for SDL WebForms 2010 SP1. You can request this hotfix from SDL Customer Support. Ensure that the hotfix is unzipped and available from your Content Manager server machine.
In addition, to perform the import, you must be logged in as an administrator-level user.
About this task
In order to use the WebForms Designer and WebForms Field Type Editor, you require additional WebForms items within your system. SDL provides these in the form of an Intermediate File that contains the default files to import into your Content Manager using Content Porter.
When you perform this import, Content Porter creates a Publication called "WebForms". Once created, this Publication contains the items that you need in order to use WebForms Designer and WebForms Field Type Editor.
Alternatively, you can also import WebForms items into an existing Publication. To import WebForms into an existing Publication, rename the Publication to which you want to import the items to "WebForms" before you run Content Porter. Then, after you have used Content Porter, rename the Publication back to its original name.
To install WebForms default items using SDL Content Porter, do the following:
