Known issues
The functionality of the RWS connector relies heavily on the document type, classification, and document lifecycle used in Vault. Therefore, it is important to understand what documents or types may or may not work based on your Vault setup.
Here are two examples of how documents managed in Vault may impact the use of the RWS connector:
- Users will be able to send documents from the Submissions Archive for translation, but the translated document will fail during upload due to the way its document lifecycle states work.
- If a document has a deprecated classification, the translation request will be created and the document will be sent to Trados; however, during the upload, an error will be displayed, because the connector is trying to set a deprecated classification to the document, which is not allowed by Vault. To resolve this, make sure that the document is classified correctly before sending it for translation or fix it before the translated document is uploaded.
