Polling frequencies

The RWS connector uses a polling mechanism to check the status of projects in Trados, to approve status of a translation object in Vault, and to download translated documents when they are ready. You can find the frequency settings in the RWS configuration page and can configure them from 3 to 15 minutes. For a production environment, RWS and Veeva Vault recommend a minimum of 15 minutes to reduce the volume of traffic on the API.

API limits

API burst limits are handled by a picklist value (%) on the configuration page to check and stop the schedulers if the threshold is reached. For example, if the value is set to 10% and the API returns the X-VaultAPI-BurstLimitRemaining value to be 100 out of 1000, the scheduler will get rescheduled to after 5 minutes, as the burst limits are applicable for 5 minutes.

Daily API limits are handled by a picklist value (%) on the configuration page to check and stop the schedulers if the threshold is reached. When the limit is reached, an email is sent to the administrator to inform that process execution will be delayed to the following day.
