Deleting quotes

If you try to delete a quote that is referenced by other objects in WorldServer, that quote is disabled, not deleted. You can only delete quotes that have the Abandoned status.

About this task

Note the following differences between disabled and deleted quotes:
  • Disabled quotes are not displayed in quote selection lists. For example, you cannot select a disabled quote when creating a new project on the Classic interface. To prevent WorldServer processes such as workflow tasks from getting into an invalid state when you delete one of the objects it is processing, WorldServer keeps the object in the database, but removes it from the user interface. In other words, the object is disabled from further use, but it is still available to running or scheduled processes.
  • Deleted quotes are not displayed anywhere in the system and are removed from the database.

Procedure

  1. In WorldServer, go to Assignments > Quotes.
  2. On the Quotes page, select the check boxes corresponding to the quotes that you want to delete.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. In the Delete quotes dialog box, select OK.
