Check Files for Modifications; PutDocDiffing

Some modifications to object-mapped elements (OMEs) in your files may not be detected by the Contenta checkin tool. If the undetected modification is the only modification made to the data, the data is not written back to the Contenta database, and a new checkpoint is not created in the history for the object.

Examples of changes that may not be detected include:

  • Table/Cell attribute modifications
  • Use of Search and Replace All functionality
To set an additional check that verifies that all modifications to the object-mapped elements (OMEs) are detected upon check-in, set the PutDocDiffing name/value pair in AppData according to the procedure that follows.
