Unlocking entries on server-based termbases

Termbases can be used concurrently by multiple users. While a user is editing an entry, the system locks the entry on behalf of the user, so that no other user can edit that entry. However, you can unlock termbase entries for edit purposes.

About this task

To see how many users are currently logged in, select the termbase on the navigation pane. The details pane shows details about the termbase and information about the users currently logged in.

Procedure

  1. In MultiTerm, access the Administrator view (if not already logged in):
    1. Add a server connection to MultiTerm. Go to File > Setup > Add.
    2. Select Administrator in the Navigation area.
    3. Select Log in from the Ribbon and fill in the credentials for the MultiTerm server.
  2. Select a server-based termbase.
  3. Select Break Locked Entries from the Ribbon.
  4. To break a lock, select it, and then select Break.
The lock is removed and users can edit the entry.
