Connecting to a Mail Server

Connect to a mail server to send email notifications from the MultiTrans TMS.

Before you begin

You must have access to a mail server including the connection details such as authentication, URL and port details.

Procedure

  1. From the TMS vertical sidebar, select Settings > System Parameters > Mail.
  2. Enter your Mail server address and Mail server port. Select Use TLS or Use SSL (in addition to TLS) as required.
  3. Enter a Connection Timeout. This ensures MultiTrans will not wait indefinitely for the mail server to respond, in case the mail server is unavailable.
  4. Enter the Mail server username and Mail server password, if applicable. These can be left blank.
  5. Enter the Maximum email size in MB, or -1 if there is no maximum size. You can also enter the size at which a warning will be sent in the Email size warning.
  6. Activate the connection by entering 1 in the Mail Module Activation field.
  7. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
