Software Installed on a Physical Machine
Recovering a MultiTrans physical machine.
If the software is installed on a physical machine, in case of a disaster the software must be re-installed and the licenses reactivated. The backup copy of the data as detailed in the Data Backups section must be copied onto the new server, or if the data is not on the same server as the software, the new software installation must be pointed towards the data.
This requires a regular data backup, backup licenses and a copy of the installed software to be available. The location of the backups and software installations as well as the new server to be used should be identified in your disaster recovery plan.
Following this method, the downtime following a disaster may be 4 or more hours, allowing for the re-installation and the copying of the data (highly dependent on your network speed and the quantity of data being copied).
