In order to use AutoSuggest, you must enable it in the Options dialog and then select which sources you want to use for the suggestions. AutoSuggest retrieves its suggestions from AutoSuggest dictionaries, which are extracted from translation memory (TM) (*.sdltm) or *.tmx files, termbases, automated translation, fragment matches and AutoText.
Procedure
- Go to
- In the navigation tree, select AutoSuggest.
- Select Enable AutoSuggest.
- Under AutoSuggest Providers, select the sources to include in AutoSuggest.
- Select AutoSuggest Dictionaries to include the AutoSuggest dictionaries. This contains phrases extracted from the translation memories
(*.sdltm ) or *.tmx files.
- Select Termbases to include terms from your SDL MultiTerm termbases in AutoSuggest.
- Select Translation Memory and Automated Translation to extend AutoSuggest to include matches from TMs, machine translation or concordance search.
- Select Fragment Matches to include recovered fragment matches into AutoSuggest results.
- Select AutoText to include AutoText entries in AutoSuggest. AutoText entries must be added into AutoSuggest.
- Select OK to save the settings and to close the Options dialog.
AutoSuggest is now enabled and will provide you with suggestions when you start typing in a target segment.
